Pafos FC, a club formed in 2014 through a merger, has emerged as a powerful force in Cypriot football. With a rich history and committed to the development of the Paphos region, the club is on a mission to establish itself as a symbol of excellence both on and off the field. Early Years and Emblem:Pafos FC was created through the merger of the strongest football forces in Paphos. The club’s emblem proudly features the name of the club and town and showcases the figure of Cypriot revolutionary Evagoras Pallikarides. The emblem, with its distinct shape and colors (white, blue, and gold), to the historical clubs APOP, Evagoras and A.E Pafos, as well as A.E.K Kouklia team. A renewed emblem in the 2018-19 season making the figure of Pallikarides more prominently visible.

 

Founding and Professionalism:In June 2014, AEP Paphos FC hosted a gathering to symbolize the birth of the merged team. The event brought together football players, and passionate fans. Christakis Kaizer, previously the president of AEK Kouklia, was appointed as the first president of the club.

 

Pafos FC’s commitment to professionalism is evident in the complete renovation of their training center to meet European club standards.

 

Promotion and Relegation:Competing in the 2014-15 Cypriot Second Division, Pafos FC secured a second-place finish and promotion to the first division. In the following season, the club made its debut in the top division but finished 12th and was relegated. However, they quickly returned to the first division by finishing second in the Second Division in the 2016-17 season.

 

Progress:Under the ownership of Total Sports Investments, headed by British businessman Roman Pafos FC has experienced consistent improvement. Structural changes, enhanced academy processes, and notable transfers have elevated the club to become one of the most modern and well-equipped Cyprus. Dubov’s arrival has seen the team’s league placement improve or remain constant every season.

 

Championship Playoffs and New Leadership:On February 25, 2022, Pafos FC secured a historic spot in the championship playoffs first time with a home draw against Aris Limassol, setting a record attendance of over 5,000 enthusiastic fans.

 

The 2022-23 season started strongly under new head coach Henning Berg, but the team’s form fluctuated, leading to Berg’s dismissal in April 2023. Pafos FC finished fourth in the league, narrowly missing out on European qualifications, being the best position ever for the Club.

 

Pafos FC, a rising football club, is deeply committed to the development and growth of the Paphos region. A series of groundbreaking infrastructure projects are set and athletics in the area between 2023 and 2026, solidifying Paphos as a hub of sporting excellence and growth.

 

World-Class Training Facilities:Recognizing the importance of top-notch training facilities, Pafoa FC is committed to establishing a world-class training center, allowing athletes to hone their skills performance. Pafos FC Training Centre “Nasos Constantinou” is the most modern and well equipped training centre in the Island.

 

Expanding Sports Facilities and Residential Complex:Pafos FC’s social responsibility shines through their to introduce over 20 new sports facilities across the region by 2024. This initiative will enable all ages and abilities to engage in various sports, fostering a stronger sense of community and well-being. I
