Dr Nikolaos Dimitrakos was born in 1975 in Piraeus.

 

He graduated from the 7th high school of Piraeus in 1992 and continued his studies in Romania, where he graduated from the University of Medicine of Iasi in 1999.

 

After obtaining a degree in Medicine he was trained in private and public clinics in Piraeus and completed the field service in Corfu in 2007. He completed the specialty of General – Family Medicine at the General Hospital of Piraeus “TZANIO” in 2011, where he gained valuable experience in approaching and managing patients with Diabetes and Arterial Hypertension.

 

In 2012 he was appointed as a consultant at Pantokrator Regional Clinic in Zakynthos and was a supervisor on duty at the Emergency Department of the General Hospital of Zakynthos. In 2014-2018 he was a deputy doctor in the Public Health Department of Zakynthos for Public Health and Travel Medicine.

 

In 2019 to 2020 he was a coordinating doctor in 1st Local Health Unit of Zakynthos.
Dr Dimitrakos has extensive experience with patients in general and family medicine clinics and he is also skilled in managing and monitoring patients with chronic diseases, especially in Diabetes and Hypertension.

 

In 2013 he obtained a certificate in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine from National Emergency Aid Centre and in 2017 a master’s degree in Occupational and Environmental Health from the National School of Public Health in Athens.
He has participated as a speaker in a large number of training seminars, General Medicine workshops and other specialties. He is a member of the Medical Scientific Societies, such as Hellenic Society of General/ Family Medicine, Hippocrates – Society of General/ Family Medicine of Greece, Hellenic Diabetes Society and Hellenic Foundation of Osteoporosis.

 

From the fourth quarter of 2020, he has been working as a General Practitioner at WeCare Medical Centre in Paphos, serving patients privately and through GeSY.

 

Dr Nikolaos speaks the following languages: Greek, English and Romanian.
