Architect, set designer, costume designer and director, wrote over 40 plays. He worked in the film “La Traviata” by Franco Zeffirelli and, in the role of author and actor, the film “O dolze, antico amore” produced by RAI3.
He founded a theater company in 1981 and created thirty productions from the classical and modern repertoire; he was invited to international festivals, in FRANCE, in GREECE and ITALY . He wrote screenplays for TV and cinema..
For the TEATRO ALLA SCALA in Milan he directed 25 video-works of the interpretations of MARIA CALLAS, for the 20th anniversary of the death of the Greek soprano.
In 2006 he designed an 1800-seat open-air theater for the Narni Opera Festival, inaugurated with his artistic direction and Verdi’s AIDA. In 2009 he directed Bellini’s NORMA at the KOREAN NATIONAL OPERA in Seoul, and L’ELISIR D’AMORE in Goyang, Daegu and Daejeon.
In 2011 he directed Euripides’ BACCHAE for THOC (National Theater of Cyprus).
In October he was invited to Ischia to organize “OMAGGIO A CALLAS E VISCONTI” with the Cypriot singer Maria Papaioannou in Luchino Visconti’s Villa.
In 2015 directed RIGOLETTO for the International Opera Festival of Daegu in Korea and OTELLO for Belgrade National Theatre, then Puccini’s SUOR ANGELICA in Cyprus.
In September 2018 created an event in Cyprus, NOSTALGIA in memory of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, and In September 2023 directed CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA by Mascagni at the Pattihio Theater in Limassol (Cyprus).
